How do I add a Tocktoy widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the apps jiggle, tap Edit › Add Widget, then search for Tocktoy and choose a style and size.
On the Lock Screen, touch and hold, tap Customize › Lock Screen and tap the widget area.
How do I use Tocktoy in StandBy?
Turn on Settings › StandBy. Charge your iPhone on its side while it’s locked, swipe to the widgets page and add Tocktoy widgets there.
How do the manhole covers change on their own?
Open the manhole face, open its settings and turn on automatic changes. Choose every few minutes, every hour or every day. The cover changes right on the hour and at midnight, and waits while you’re turning it.
Can the white noise keep playing when the screen is off?
Yes. Sounds keep playing with the screen locked, and you can pause them from the Lock Screen. Tap the moon to set a sleep timer.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Tocktoy Pro in the app and tap Restore Purchases.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name › Subscriptions › Tocktoy, then Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the renewal.
How do I ask for a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What syncs through iCloud?
Your days, sticky notes, receipt lines, typed lines, white-noise mixes, collected stamps, clock settings and more sync between devices signed in to the same iCloud account. Recordings and their transcripts stay on the device they were made on.
Sync uses your iCloud, so it needs iCloud turned on for Tocktoy in Settings › your name › iCloud.
What’s different in the mainland China edition (钟小玩)?
It’s a paid download that includes every face and theme and the new ones to come. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions, so there’s nothing to restore or cancel.
In mainland China time zones it shows 25 faces (without the shrine, the Japanese stations and the Japanese scenery).
Which languages can the recorder transcribe?
Transcription uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition, so the languages depend on your iPhone and iOS version. Nothing is sent to a server.
